Engineering Success

Our success is determined by our ability to maximize your success – and we know for injection molded plastics, the engineering and design development process is critical to achieving that success!

We have found the two most critical factors for success in the engineering and design development process are partnering with you early on in the design phase – and focusing on what we consider the 5 Keys To Success for engineering out cost and engineering in quality and optimal performance.  In order to achieve success, all 5 of these stages must work together.

  • Part Design - Understanding the product application, intended market and performance, end use objectives, and use environment
  • Mold Design & Build - Design for mold efficiency, longevity and performance
  • Molding Process - Injection molding technologies, cycle times, material flow and employing scientific injection molding
  • Quality Assurance - Focusing on tolerances, part inspection, steel safe mold and more
  • Automation - In the injection molding process and downstream – making it simple and lean

Our experience, along with the latest innovations in custom plastic injection molding technologies, has provided us with a competitive advantage on each and every project.

EVCO Plastics expertise in custom injection molded plastics includes:

EVCO Plastics custom injection molded plastics are providing competitive advantage for OEMs in many applications and markets, including medical / health care (medical disposables, medical devices, medical housings and components, medical packaging), utility vehicles, packaging, agriculture, construction, lawn and garden, recreational vehicles, trucking, marine, consumer products, plumbing & water, and appliances.

Global Systems

EVCO Plastics is a global plastic injection molder with global manufacturing systems and 9 strategically located plastic injection molding facilities in the United States, Mexico and China.

The EVCO Team is comprised of over 900 people and operates over 140 horizontal and vertical plastic injection molding machines ranging from 28 to 3500 tons.

All of our plastic injection molding facilities follow the same systems and procedures, so no matter which EVCO Plastics facility or facilities you use, they will look and feel the same and provide the same high level of quality and service.

Our global project management system is designed with our customers in mind, offering them the capability and advantages of developing projects locally in the US and then sourcing and manufacturing them in any one or more of our globally located facilities. For example, due to the cost of shipping, cost savings are realized when large parts are molded close to where they are needed. Likewise, smaller parts requiring more assembly or a greater amount of labor, but not as costly to ship, are likely more cost effective to product in Mexico or China. In some instances, there are advantages to running production in more than one location.
