2020

EVCO began a 2 year project to renovate our existing EVCO Plastics – MED facility to transition into our new Corporate HQ. Phase I was completed in 2020 with a new coffee shop, first floor offices, and Welcome Center.

2019

With the inclusion of the 31,025-square-foot expansion to EVCO Plastics – OSHKOSH, EVCO is positioned to meet the increasing demand for large part molding across a wide variety of industries and applications.

2018

EVCO completed a 50,000-square-foot expansion of its MED facility, more than doubling its original size for a total of 84,000 square feet. The expansion tripled the size of the ISO Class 8 clean room, bringing it to 30,000 square feet.

2016

EVCO continues to invest in large part molding by adding an additional 38,000 sq. ft. to EVCO Calhoun, including two 3,300 ton presses. The Georgia facility now boasts 11 presses over 1,000 tons.

2015

EVCO was named 2015 Plastics Processor of the Year by Plastics News. EVCO’s win comes on the 20th year that the award has been issued, which honors companies who exemplify superior achievement within their organization, community and industry offerings.

EVCO China moves from Shenzhen to a brand new facility in Dongguan, featuring a 10,000 sq. ft. ISO Class-8 clean room.

2012

Added 30,000 square feet of additional manufacturing and warehouse space to EVCO Plastics facility in Oshkosh, Wisconsin

2011

Purchased a new Kitamura machining center for EVCO Plastics facility in DeForest, Wisconsin, to expand capabilities for building large plastic injection molds in-house

2009

Doubled the size of EVCO Plastics facility in Calhoun, Georgia, to 70,000 square feet and added a new coordinate-measuring machine (CMM) to meet the needs of increased production

2007

Opened third facility in Mexico, located in Juarez – a new 67,000-square-foot facility with 16 injection molding machines up to 3,000 ton and room for expansion

2005

Opened second facility in Monterrey, Mexico, with 14 plastic injection molding machines up to 220 ton, 45,000 square feet, vacuum metalizing and painting

2004

EVCO Plastics expanded their facility in Shenzhen, China, to 73,000 square feet

2003

With continued growth, EVCO Plastics builds a new facility to double its size in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, and adds a new 3,300-ton plastic injection molding machine for large part molding

EVCO Plastics enters new markets with its QLT (Quick Lead Time) technologies, in some instances capable of 48-hour turnaround from design to tooling to production

Plastics News ranks EVCO Plastics in their list of Top 100 Plastic Injection Molders

EVCO Plastics de Mexico is opened in Monterrey, Mexico, specializing in contract manufacturing

EVCO Plastics opens facility in Shenzhen, China, for mold sampling, capability studies and production runs

EVCO Plastics purchases Nevada Tool and Die, a Reno-based manufacturing and mold building plant that specializes in molding appliance parts and cosmetic packaging

EVCO Plastics sells the Office Products Division and builds EVCO MED (Medical & Electronic Devices), a 34,000-square-foot Class 100,000 clean room molding facility in DeForest, Wisconsin

1991

Dale Evans is named president of EVCO Plastics

Gas-assist injection molding and in-mold decorating are added to EVCO Plastics manufacturing technologies

1989

EVCO Plastics AMP (Automated Molding Plant) is built in DeForest, Wisconsin

EVCO Plastics enters into a joint venture agreement in Shenzhen, China, operating under the name NE Mould, with low-cost design and mold building capabilities

EVCO Plastics opens a new facility in DeForest, Wisconsin, to handle their new Office Products Division

To better serve one of its largest customers, EVCO Plastics builds a 34,000-square-foot plastic injection molding manufacturing and mold building facility in Calhoun, Georgia

Dale Evans, one of Don and Joan’s three sons employed by EVCO Plastics, becomes COO and over takes the day-to-day operations

1976

EVCO Plastics opens a mold building and plastic injection molding facility in Oshkosh, Wisconsin

1964

After selling his share of the business to his brother in law, Don and his wife, Joan, open EVCO Plastics, and build 1,200-square-foot facility in DeForest, Wisconsin

1956

Ray-O-Vac contracts with Evans-Zeier plastics to build a 300-cavity mold for a AA battery seal designed to provide a watertight seal and prevent electrical leakage from batteries.

1951

Don Evans partners with his brother-in-law to form Evans-Zeier Plastics, opening the doors with four plastic injection molding machines and a tool shop to build molds

Evans-Zeier Plastics produces first plastic refrigerator components (knobs and corners) and thermoformed door liners

1948

While at UW-Madison, Don Evans opens Evans Plastics and buys first plastic injection molding machine
